Benefits of membership include:

• Member directory
• Monthly meetings with speakers
• Participation in our annual PeconicQuilt Show
• Library privileges
• Opportunities to attend bus trips and other special events
• Fat Quarterly, our exceptional newsletter
• Block-of-the-month
• Fat-quarter swap

Responsibilities of membership include:

• Participating in Show and Tell at meetings
• Making a quilt for the Baby Quilt Community Project
• Participating on a committee
• Working at least one 2-hour shift during the Quilt Show
• Purchasing or selling at least 4 books of raffle quilt tickets
• Bringing something for hospitality, or participating in set up/clean up

Scholarship Policy

In keeping with the mission of Eastern Long Island Quilters Guild, we will offer scholarships to our members for classes as well as bus trips. Often, we find that we have classes and bus trips that are not full to capacity. We will offer these spaces to members in need at no cost to the guild.

Scholarship Guidelines:

• Member must be a member in good standing for at least one year
• A member will receive no more than one scholarship in any calendar year.
• Scholarship recipient must participate on one committee per year in addition to the two-hour commitment to the quilt show.
• Recipient must complete a scholarship request to be submitted to the President.
• Scholarships are contingent upon space availability. The executive committee will serve as the scholarship committee.
